  • 200g rice vermicelli (bee hoon)
  • 200g prawns, deveined and shells removed
  • 200g squid, cleaned and sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chicken or seafood stock
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1 red chilli, sliced
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How To Cook Sin Chew Bee Hoon

Step 1

Soak the rice vermicelli in cold water for about 10 minutes until they soften. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add the garlic and shallots, and sauté until fragrant.
